Terms of Service

Last updated 3 November 2026

These terms cover your use of the CACleaner app and website (cacleaner.co.uk). CACleaner is run by Craig Holmes, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By downloading or using CACleaner you agree to these terms.

1. The app

CACleaner Free can be downloaded and used at no cost. CACleaner Pro unlocks extra features with a paid subscription. You may install CACleaner on computers you own or are allowed to manage.

2. Buying Pro

Orders are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our online reseller and Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, invoices and sales tax, and its own terms apply to the purchase. After paying you receive a license key by email.

3. Subscriptions and renewal

Pro is billed yearly and renews automatically at the end of each year until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the link in your purchase email or by contacting us. When you cancel, Pro keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for.

4. Your license key

Each license key is for one computer at a time. You can move it to another computer by removing it in the app first. Don't share, resell or publish your key. We may disable keys that are shared, refunded or used against these terms.

5. Using CACleaner carefully

CACleaner deletes files and changes settings when you ask it to. It is built to be careful (it skips files in use, keeps recent temporary files, backs up registry changes and sends duplicates to the Recycle Bin), but you are responsible for choosing what to clean, uninstall or update. Keep backups of important files.

6. No warranty

CACleaner is provided "as is". We don't promise it will be free of errors or suit every computer. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer in the UK.

7. Our liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss of data, profits or indirect losses from using CACleaner, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us exclude.

8. Changes

We may update CACleaner and these terms. If we make an important change to the terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
